Accessing and Using the Courses Here are the questions and answers from our Frequently Asked Questions on the technology needed to access and use our courses.

What computer equipment do I need to access and use the Ritter Academy?

CPU Speed:

  • For PC's - 500 megahertz (MHz) processor or higher (32- or 64-bit); For Macs - 1.25 GHz, G4, or Better (G5 or better Recommended)
  • Memory: 256 MB RAM minimum
  • Display:800 X 600 screen resolution (1,024 x 768 or higher recommended)
  • Multimedia: Sound card and speakers or a headset

Software:

  • Operating System: Mac OS X or Windows XP SP3 or Higher, Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit)
  • Flash Player 6.0.79 or later (http://www.adobe.com/go/getflash) (Flash Player 7 or later recommended), and one of the following browsers:

    Windows : Internet Explorer 6 or later, Firefox 1.x or later, Safari 3 or later, Google Chrome, Opera 9.5 or later
    Macintosh : Safari 3 and later, Firefox 1.x and later, Google Chrome, Linux: Firefox 1.x and later

Accessing and Using Downloads and Products

How do I download from the Academy player a Download available with a course?

Downloads are available for each of our courses directly from the course. Simply click on the "Downloads" tab in the upper right-hand corner of the course, and select the download you would like to view. The file will open in a new window where you can view the file and download it to your computer.

If you have problems downloading the Downloads, be sure to check your pop-up blocker and allow pop-ups when logged into the Academy. 

How do I download products purchased in the Ritter Academy store?

Once you have purchased a product from our store, you will receive an electronic mail that includes a link to the product or products you have purchased. All of our products are electronic; once you receive your e-mail with the link, simply click on that link and download your product.

This email link will let you download the product only once and will expire after you’ve downloaded it. If you want to download the product at a later date, simply find the corresponding link under “Files” tab after logging into your account.
